They devoted themselves to the Apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
— Acts 2:42

God in love calls us to grow towards maturity in Him. We believe Christians grow through commitment to the loving community and relationships of life in a local church together. Like the early church in Acts, we grow through the simple habits of fellowship, teaching and prayer.

Fellowship in the Church Family

We are all growing in the faith and can help each other in our onward walk of Christian  discipleship. The best way to keep growing in our faith is to commit to attend regularly on Sundays and to be involved in our church fellowship.

An important part of our services is to gather for refreshments to give time to get to know one another and encourage one another. We encourage you to pray as you come to church that the Lord would enable you to be a blessing and encouragement to those you meet, sit near, talk to and share with.

Small Groups

In particular, many find small groups a great encouragement. They meet regularly and reflect on a short Bible passage together.

There are various groups meeting in different places, as well as daytime groups for those who are free at that time. The purpose of our home groups is to support and encourage one another as followers of Jesus. So the focus of our time is spent studying the Bible together, thinking through the implications for how we think and act as Christian people, and praying together. There is also plenty of time for chat and simply enjoying getting to know one another.

We also run groups looking into the basics of the Christian faith, and these give extra space for questions and discussion together. Many of us find these immensely helpful ways to keep going and keep growing as a Christian.

Prayer

Prayer is one of the great privileges of the gospel: that we have a loving Father who hears and answers. We also all need encouragement in prayer so we pray together and encourage individual prayer.

We gather for prayer at our Prayer Supper (on the 3rd Sunday of most months), at 6pm in the All Saints’ Church Hall. We also have fortnightly weekday prayer meetings – listen in notices for when these are.

We believe everyone needs at least one Christian friend to pray with about what matters. If there is anything you would value praying with one of our ministry team, please just ask for support.

Our Father – Enjoying God in Prayer

When Jesus’ disciples asked him for help with prayer, he gave them a beautifully simple but spiritually profound outline known as the Lord’s Prayer.

Personal devotions

It is immensely helpful to make good habits spending time in prayer and in God’s word on your own as well as together. There are many good resources to help us so please speak to one of the ministry team if you would like advice or guidance on what to use.

We have many recommended resources available in our online bookstall with 10ofthose here:
